Today’s implantology – what is new, what is reliable? With this assessment of the current situation in oral implantology, the BDIZ EDI describes its 17th European Symposium on 10 and 11 May 2024 in Split/Croatia.

“In view of the fact that we are already at a very high level with high success rates in implant therapy, it is anything but easy to decide whether “new” really means “better”. Nature has set limits to our pursuit of ever better results and shorter treatment times,” says BDIZ EDI President Christian Berger. This makes it all the more important for implantologists to continue their education to stay abreast of the latest scientific and technical innovations and materials for the benefit of their patients and their practices. Education and training must keep pace with developments.

The BDIZ EDI has therefore always considered the exchange of ideas as part of its professional focus. It is organising its European Symposium for the 17th time, and for the fourth time in Croatia.
